Kelli Giddish, 42 years of age, has been part of the beloved criminal show Law and Order: SVU for some time and is now expecting her third child. She made her intentions to leave the show known toward the end of her long-time time on the show – 12 seasons, to be exact.
Kelli Giddish – Pregnancy Announcement
On June 1st, Kelli used her Instagram account to announce her third pregnancy with her husband. She plays Amanda Rollins on the show, the detective-turned-professor, and has announced that she and her husband, Beau Richards, will soon be welcoming a son!
Departing From the Show
After 12 seasons with the show, Kelli Giddish departed with only a few guest-starring roles in a crossover plotline of the final episodes. As with her other two pregnancies with her ex-husband, Lawrence Faulbor, her third one with her new husband was also written in the show. So, as she was expecting in real life, and so was her character, Amanda, on set. It will be her first child with Richards, whom she married in 2021.
Happy for the Pregnancy
As far back as April, Giddish was seen sporting a visible baby bump on set. She reunited with her co-stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni for one final shot. Her on-set family is beyond happy for her development in life and wishes her nothing but happiness, as all her fans do. Her previous two pregnancies, as with this one, can be seen in certain episodes.
Fans of Law and Order: SVU can enjoy some of the last episodes with Kelli Giddish. Although the actress may be departing from the show, she will always hold a legacy as the attractive detective-turned-professor. It will now be up to her co-stars, Meloni and Hargitay, to carry on the show without her!
